I would love to permanetly remove the Control box from displaying everytime I
open a Word document. I know there is code and tried to use one that was
suggested this week for Track changes and just ajusted the code but it didn't
work. You guys are great and I know you will have an answer for me.

I'm using Word 2000 SP3 but it also happens on my laptop which has XP and
Office XP.

Thank you

Shandy,

What do you mean by Control box? The three buttons at top right of window
(minimize, restore, close)? The Control Toolbox toolbar? Something else?
What code did you try to use? Can you post it?

Regards,
Chad

Hi =?Utf-8?B?U2hhbmR5?=,

If a document contains macros (or ActiveX controls from this toolbox) macro
security in Word is triggered. If macro security (Tools/Macro/Security) is set
to "HIGH", macros will be disabled, and this toolbox will be displayed. Try
setting macro security to "Medium", then allow macros to be activated in
documents you trust.
