Contrast - red bar - 100

Hi - would anyone know how to remove a message that appers right in the
centre of my monior. It says 'Contrast under whgich the a is a red bar and
under this is the number 100.

Stop leaning on the contrast button on your monitor.

It's not a Windows problem.

If we press the contrast button nothing happens. If we press the menu button

Usually, a monitor has a set of physical buttons below the screen that set
configuration options like Contrast, and other aspects of a monitor. You
should push a few of those buttons on the monitor to see if you can determine
how to set things like Contrast, and other things to your preference.

There, you've diagnosed your problem - monitor controls are malfunctioning.

Though it's odd that the contrast control stays on, usually they time out.
Then again, I've never encountered any similar problems with monitors.

What about pulling the power plug from the wall, leave it completely off for
a while?
