Continuous form with subform

I have list of families with a varying number of members.

I want have a form showing all families with all members - like:

The Johnsons Kyle
Sandra
Peter
Toni
The Smiths Amy
Joe
The Ryans Jack
Cathy
Sally

i.e. I would like to have the subform expand in the individual family to
show all members - and still have the family form be continuous. Somehow that
seems not to be possible.

Can it be done?

If a form has a sub form attached, I don't believe that you can make it a
continuous form.

Have you tried going into design view and selecting your subform, going into
properties, and changing the defalt view of your sub form to continuous form?

I guess it cant be done. You can make the subform continuous or the mainform
continuous - but you cant do it on both.

Now I solved my problem in a different way - as I now select all data and
display it in one continuous form - here I only show the first row of each
family by applying conditional formatting.
