Continues to reboot??

After completing a new OS install in a faster PC yesterday I found I
could not shut down W2K last evening. Clicking "shut down" only caused
the system to reboot back up again.

Finally had to pull the plug so I could close up shop.

Today I ran Norton WinDoc and DiskDoc and it says all is OK. Still it
reboots.

Any thoughts?
