Hello -
I already got some very useful help here, but I failed to do it right and I
can't find the thread now to review it. sorry.
I have been having a problem with Outlook 2007 putting blank emails
into my inbox, with all the text erased. I was told that the problem was
that I said "yes" when it asked me if I want it to download my RSS feeds too
-- a real mistake! I was told I should delete this service, and I thought I
did. That is, I went to the place where all the services are listed (Where
was that?) and deleted the program/add-on/whatever that appeared most likely
to be routing myRSS feed through Outlook. Oops! Whatever that was, it was
the wrong thing!
So, assuming I didn't completely ruin something by deleting that file
(nothing seems to have changed), I still need to know how to stop Outlook
from routing my RSS feeds including the actual name of that file, so I don't
depend on my guesswork, which is obviously of limited usefulness.
Thanks!
P.S. I was also told that I should stop the email scanning of my
antivirus software, which I did. This doesn't seem to have helped, though I
am glad to know that it is better to keep this function turned off.
