Context Search Trouble

I'm been running XP-Pro for some time. Just recently when
I hit the right mouse button for context and selecting
the search... option, I get an error "There was a problem
sending the command to the program". Is there a fix for
this? The search function with the START button works ok.

Try a different mouse. If the problem persists, then please post back
for more help.

All other context menu options work just fine in window
explorer. The "search..." option is corrupted. Why would
changing the mouse make a difference?

Because from your first post, it sounded like perhaps you had a physical
problem with the mouse. Always be as clear and complete as possible in
your description of the problem, remembering that we are not at your
house able to see what you mean. Look for your search problem on this
excellent site: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm .
