Lou

content.IE5 directory does not exist in "C:\windows\documents and
settings\user\local settings\temporary internet files\" for all users.
It does exist for "default user" user and a limited user I created but
does not exist for my main administrator id created when XP was setup.

The same situation is true on XP SP2 Home and XP SP2 Pro.

Any comments

Actually in shouldn't be under the C:\Windows folder at
all . . . but it SHOULD be under C:\Documents and
Settings\Administrator\...

However, if you're not experiencing any other problems I
wouldn't worry about it

Good Luck

Hi,
Repeating info from anonymous... the Content.IE5 folders should be at
[C:\documents and settings\user\local settings\temporary internet files]

You won't be able to see the Content.IE5 folder of the currently logged in
user. Login as another user with administrator privileges.

Hope this helps,

You can't get to the Content.IE5 folder from Windows Explorer.

You have to sneak around to see Content.IE5.

Obviously Your Name Here needs to be changed to the appropriate name.

To view:
C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name Here\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files\Content.IE5 AND \Content.MSO (Created by an MS Office program).

Start | Run | Type: cleanmgr | OK | Highlight Temporary Internet Files |
View Files button

Or...

Start | Run | Type: %tmp% | OK |

You will probably have to click the Folders button on the Tool Bar.
Click: [+] Temporary Internet Files
Click: [+] Content.IE5
Click: Random named folders
View
You can also view Content.MSO

Or Paste into the Start | Run box.
C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name Here\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files\Content.IE5

Note: Disk Cleanup (cleanmgr.exe) will *not* clean:
C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name Here\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files\Content.IE5

I don't know why you can view the Content.IE5 folder with Disk Cleanup but
it won't clean the folder.

Hope this helps. Let us know.
