content advisor and ICRAplus

Okay, I know that content advisor on it's own is little value for preventing my kids access to porn. So I went out and installed ICRAplus as it runs off of RSACi...(ratings groups). These are relatively specific and the "plus" program has the ability to make decisions about unknowns and not sures...you keep adding filters and the harder it is for it to miss the garbage, labeled or not. BUT, the content advisor shows all of the specific settings that I chose and will allow nothing, not even the ICRA webpage without a password. When I change to allow unlabled, everything gets through. With or without the ICRA filters, it is all or nothing. There was a period that it actually worked to a degree even before installing the add ons, but now doesn't even recognize the sites I added to block always or allow always. I have read all of the messages out here for ca and don't see any mention of adding these other programs. And I will not go out and pay for a filter if the basic system is crap. Do I need to delete the ca and start over or am I wasting my time? Right now I just have to leave it free for all until I can get this corrected. HELP!!!!!!!! PS I have XP and IE6 so there in theory is no ratings.pol to change. That, as far as the FAQs for ICRAplus is 98 and older not XP or 2000, it just refers you to MS whom refers me to the computer company which I can't do as they are a german company and I have no contact info.(nor does MS for that co.) I think this is not that specific a problem anyway judging from the issues others are having with ca.
