In Outlook Express in View>Contacts if you checked contacts you could see
your contacts directly below your folders. Windows mail doesn't seem to have
that feature at least in that location. Is there another way to accomplish
this? If not does Microsoft plan to add this feature?

Thanks

No and no.
Windows Mail does have a Contacts button on its toolbar, and you
can also invoke it when composing an email by clicking on the icon
in front of 'To:'.

I understand that we had choose sender from tool bar contact list. It is good
but when I do like to use cc list or bc list then how can I find quickly
choose contact? takes too much time to find out. Do you know how to find
contact easily on that point? I had problem now...

The 'CC' and 'BCC' also have the clickable contacts icon immediately to
the left. Also you can type the first three characters of the name or email
address and it should auto-complete when you press Tab or Enter.

While I like Vista and I'm relatively okay with Windows Mail, I'll never
understand why they took away the ability to display the contacts in folders
when you click To/CC/BCC. I don't care how easy auto-complete is. I don't
want to have to look through ALL my contacts to select 5-6 for any given
email. The is the sole purpose for folders, to limit the volume of contacts
that have to be scrolled to find the ones you want. Is the no way to keep
all my contacts but limit the top level displayed? So far, that is my only
gripe with Vista vs XP.

Cheers, Dave

I also dont understand why they took away this simple and cool feature.
Unbelievable!!!!!!!

I so much agree. I'm just now going to send mail to a contact group I have
set up. In OE, you just clicked on the Name of the Group in the sidebar and
your mail started. this doesn't happen if you click on the group in the
Contacts.

create your mail and add the group name to the Bcc line.
might add you email to the TO line.

change for change sake.

That's just what I did in the end. It's still annoying. Why fix it if it
ain't broke?
