Contacts Sort and Search Order

Dear Russ:

I am receiving an error message when I try and add rules I have created (by
putting a check mark next to them) so that they will run automatically. I
receive the error message once I try and add more than three rules. These
three rules have a total of 40 individuals associated with them. They are
simple rules that only move an email from a sender to a specific folder.
There are not advanced alerts or graphics. The error message tells me there
is a space problem. I cannot believe that 2003 Rules will only support 3
rules with 60 senders. Please suggest what I can do to increase this number.

As background, I provide you the following information:

I have set my computer so emails are downloaded to the local drive (instead
of the server) and all of my rules are “Client-Onlyâ€.
The path and file name of the file to which emails are set to download is as
follows:
Path: “C:\Documents and Settings\C4976\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlookâ€
File Name: “1AImportant.pstâ€
This was set through the following procedure:
Tools/Options/Mail set up tab/E-Mail accounts/next/View or change existing
accounts/under deliver new email to the following location specify the file

What is the limit to thesize of the rulesyou can have?

Rules are not stored separately. They are stored with the PST file.
You can, however, export rules to an RWZ file.

Happy new year. Happy New Year. What is the name of the file and
extension
where Microsoft Outlook 2003 rules are stored?

Apparently you weren't aware that both the First and Last names are
stored
in one field in a PAB:

I imported my PAB (which was structured by last name first) into
contacts.
However, Contacts seems to sort everything by First name so when I
search
for
a name by last name, it does not find it When I go into Properties
and
edit
the entry it still lists them by First name in the first column
which
is
"Name" column. How can I fix this? Is there a way to change the
columns
that are listed when you click (To" (the "Select Names" pop up box
appears
and I want to have a different order there)?

Thanks for your help
