Hello!

I acquired a computer from another user, when I print out a single
contact the memo header is the old user?

How do I change this to my name, I used tinyhexer to search my
outlook.pst file but it did not find the old user.

What file has this info?

Wallace

Change the name of the user account you use to log into Windows.
Instructions depend on your version of Windows but Control Panel-> Users is
a good place to start.

Done that, there is no old user account. I even looked in the registry
using regedit. What I would like is where ms office stores this info.

The user account is set to your name?
Then open Word and choose Tools-> Options... Here you can set your personal
information for all Office applications.

Sorry to report that your advise did not work, perhaps you could
experiment before you advise. This is for a friend of mind and I use
Thunderbird for my email program.

Well there is not a whole lot to experiment as I just have to go by with the
information you provided which is not a whole lot. What kind of
configuration are we talking about here anyway? Did you start with a clean
user or did you jsut rename the old one? Also check your mail account
settings.

The person who uses outlook 2002 renamed the old user to her name. The
problem is if she prints out a single contact, outlook will insert the
old user name with a underscore line at the top of page. The contacts
information is correctly displayed beneath the underscore line.

The mail account settings has her name not the old user.
