A user has an In-Office and an Out-Of-Office Outlook 2000 profile on the
laptop.
( Different E'mail Account Options )

Both profiles are linked to the same .pst file.

When composing a new e'Mail In-Office the user can select the contact
from a list displayed by clicking "to:"

Not so when in the Out-of-Office Profile.

Can anyone point to or provide a cause/solution

TIA.

Hi Henry

this happens a lot - you need to set up the Contacts this way:

click the address book icon, from the menu there, select Tools, Options and
add the Contacts folder as one that Outlook looks up. If Contacts don't
show here at all, you need to set up an address book account through:

Tools, Email Account, Add a new address book and Add an Outlook address book
(that's your contacts folder).

Note: the two TOOLS menus mentioned here are not the same one!!!! Microsoft
illogic for you.

Regards

Judy

Make sure the Outlook Address Book service is installed in Tools | Services.

Many thanks to you both, Judy and Sue.

I've passed it on.

Hope I can return the favour in SBS or Access someday.
