contacts changed but outlook still picks up old email addr

[deleting addr from outlook and contact f]

i have changed an e-mail addr in contacts and the wrong addr has gone away
but when i start to type the person's name in outlook, it still picks up the
old e-mail addr - how do i remove it completely?

That is appearing from your Autocomplete cache. When the incorrect address
appears, just highlight it and press the Delete key...

Well, not exactly. If the entry is already in the To: line, it will be
difficult to delete. If it is in the dropdown, use your arrow key to
highlight it then hit your Delete key. Autocompletion entries are difficult
to delete if they've already been selected for delivery, depending on the
version, which of course was never posted. To the OP: Never post a question
without posting your version so that you don't waste others' time.
