contacts assigned to categories do not show up in the summary

until recently my categories woeked perfectly. but now I assign properly my
contacts to a category and they do not show up. The categories are all listed
but onle a few contacts show up. the contacts indicated as being assigned
but still do not show up in the summary
 
"Show up" where and in what version of Outlook?
State what you did just before "just recently."
