Contacts appear twice in Address Outlook Address book

P

Peter Lawton

After installing Outlook 2003 I attempted to send email but the Select names
dialogue / Show names from: 'Contacts' was empty. In Contacts properties /
Outlook Address Book I 'showed this folder as an email address book' and
could access the addresses in my Contacts folder.

BUT now when I am sending emails I click the To... button and the Select
Names dialogue appears it shows first the empty Contacts in the Show names
from the: box. When I click the drop down list there is a second Contacts. I
choose this and my Contacts with all the addresses appears.

Is there a way to get rid of the first contacts folder so I go straight to
the Contacts with my addresses in it please.

Thank you

peter
