Contacts Address field order

D

doug hayes

In Contacts any view. I use the default View for address
cards, i.e. fields shown in this order:
File As
Follow Up Flag
Mailing Address
etc.
In any view, addresses are shown with the City before the
remaining part of the address. e.g.
Melbourne
37 Ashtons St
Victoria

Now I know I can remove the Mailing address field and
replace by individual fields but this adds all sorts of
unwanted headers to address cards. How can i rearrange
addresses to the proper sequence ie with City after the
street name.
Many thanks if anybody can assist

Then how did they end up appearing incorrectly in the Address Card view?
They would not do this by default. Were these Contacts imported or did you
customize the view at some point?

imported using chapura pocket mirror from Palm organiser.
maybe the problem, and not an outlook problem, but i cant
see it/ find it.
All fields have matched correctly with the fields in
the "check Address" dialog. But they are ordered (as I
said before) with City first in the Address cards view
(and in other views). Have spent hours on this one - cant
see why...

will review the importing process again
have 1400 addresses - important to me to get it right
thanks for your prompt replys
Doug

Well I've certainly never seen this behavior. Some things to consider:
1. Make sure your location is set correctly
2. Run the Inbox Repair Tool on your PST file.
3. After you do, start Outlook with the /cleanviews switch.
