contact reminders

I want to set a reminder to call or send a card to a
client on a yearly anniversary date. I set a recurring
task. But I dont want to see these on the outlook today
page until they are due, otherwise I will have hundreds
of task to look at every day. Right now every task I set
up is listed on outlook today even if it is not due for
months. any advise would be appreciated - thanks

Use the native option in Outlook Contacts - fill in the Anniversary field
under Details. Then set your option to be reminded xx
weeks/days/hours/minutes before the event so you will have time to shop,
send cards, etc.
