Contact problems

When I try to add a "New Business Contact from same company" in Business
Contact Manager, the following error displays:

"The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem
persists, restart Outlook."

When a contact is double clicked, the following error displays:

"The custom form could not be opened. Outlook will use an Outlook form
instead."

The "OK" button is clicked and then the following error message appears.

"Array index out of bounds."

When the "OK" button is clicked to clear that message the contact form opens.

The Detect and Repair Tool doesn't fix this problem nor does restarting the
Outlook application.

Help please.

BCM sometimes has what's known as a "forms cache" problem. Clearing the
cache usually fixes it. Choose Tools | Options | Other | Advanced Options |
Custom Forms, then click Manage Forms, then Clear Cache. If simply clearing
the cache doesn't fix the issue, try the other steps detailed at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;836558

The bulk of the forms cache issues in Outlook 2003 are fixed in Service Pack
1, so you should also install Office 2003 Service Pack 1 as well as BCM SP1.

Hi Will,

Did Sue's instructions helped at all? I cannot overcome the same problem you
had. Could you tell me the exact steps you followed?

I am having similar problems with Business Contact Manager.

Prob1. Cannot set a new Account. Come back with the error "Messaging
interface has returned an unknow error. If the problem persists, please
restart Outlook." Outlook has ben restarted a number of times, and the error
persists.

Prob2. "Custom form cannot be opened. Outlook will use an Outlook form
instead".

Prob3. BCM toolbar not available. (Is there one...?)

Prob 5. "Array index out of Bounds".

Environment: Win 2003 Server. Office Professional 2003 SP1. BCM loaded
with SP1. Contact / forms / cache has been cleared.
