I just moved my wife's Outlook files from our shared desktop to her new
laptop.
First I exported two of the folders as csv files (Contacts + Calendars) to
the laptop; when I realized I could not retain the date stamp on each email
with the export method, I researched a bit and came up with copying and
moving the pst file.
(before I did this it occurred to me the issue of whether the pst contained
the calendar and contacts data and what would happen when I moved the pst
file: would it overwrite the calendar and contacts?)
In any case, when I tested Outlook all seemed well until I tried to send an
email using the contacts list. If I opened a new message and then clicked
the To button, I got this message: "The address list could not be
displayed. The Contacts folder associated with this address list could not be
opened; it may have been moved or deleted, or you do not have permission.
For information on how to remove this folder from the Outlook Address Book,
see MS Outlook Help."
When you click Okay, the Select Names window opens only there are no names
in the Contact list
What's going on? I see all my contacts but for some reason the contacts are
not available.
I went to Contacts/Properties/Outlook Address Book and clicked the Show this
folder as an e-mail Address Book but no luck
Please help. Thanks in advance
