Contact missing in Windows Live messenger

hello!

I just installed the new windows live messnger. When i first started the
messenger, all my contact were missing. I closed the program and tried again.
This time it took forever to sign in, but when it finally did there were only
five of my original contacts listed.

Some help would be great.

They're still there. Windows Live Messenger has a new contacts model which has failed on a
number of accounts in the past few days. As a quick fix until the problem is resolved, you
can downgrade back to MSN Messenger, where you'll find all your contacts safe and sound:
