I need to create a customer database for a shuttle service. It is suppose to
be very simple, each contact is seperate without any sub groups.

And then there need to be a search function.. This is suppose to be used
when a client phones for a booking, the operator then only enter the last
name and if he was a client before his details would pop up. The details must
only consist out of name, tel nr. , address. Is there a sample of such a
database available?

It is my first time in Access!!

Any help would be appreciated!Thanx

How much and how do I need to pay?

I provide help for Access, Excel and Word applications for a very reasonable
fee. I could build the customer database for you for a very reasonable fee.
If you would like my help, email me more details about what you want and I
will be glad to give you a quote. Contact me at (e-mail address removed).

You just never learn. These newsgroups are provided by by Microsoft for FREE
peer to peer support, not for snake oil salesmen like you.

These newsgroups are largely staffed by volunteers. If someone is available
and has ideas about the issue you present, they'll generally respond.

The person who responded to you earlier is violating the spirit, if not the
letter of the newsgroup in seeking payment for providing help.

Of course, if you need immediate help, you probably will need to hire
someone, since the "volunteer" nature of the 'groups doesn't guarantee
immediate response. On the subject of "guarantee", you'll want to have some
assurances that whoever you hire stands by his/her work and has a decent
track record.

Good luck!

but it would be far more than it is worth. Isn't about time for your yearly
disappearing act?

You might want to do a little research on the person offering his
services. He's been trying to generate income form this group for some
time. This group is for the free exchange of ideas and help.

If you open you Access (you don't say what version) and click new
one of the templates available is a contact management db. Of course
Steve wouldn't tell you this because he would rather charge you.

If you have problems finding the template post back with the version of
Access that you are running and I or someone else will gladly give you
step by step instructions. FREE.

One additional thought. Depending on the number of customers you may
want to consider and Excel spreadsheet. You don't really give much info
on what you want to track. If it's simply a name address and phone
number and the number of customers isn't in the thousand, then Excel
might be much simpler.

These newsgroups are provided by Microsoft for FREE peer to peer help. They
are not a venue for you to provide inadequate services at any price.
