Contact List

I can't find instructions to arrange my contact list in alphabetical order
by last name in Vista 64 bit Windows Mail. I customized the list by adding
a column for last names and that made a partial mess of things. However,
when I used the contact list to select email recipients it goes back to
alphabetical order by first name. Now really, that's not the correct way to
file nor is it practical. Can you imagine receiving your phone book
alphabetized by first names? Is there a solution for this? The good ol'
Outlook Express could do this correctly. Thanks for your help.

To sort:
In the Contacts folder:
Change the View to "Details".
Right-click on the "Name" column heading, click on "First Name", then click
on "Last Name"
Click on the "Last Name" heading to sort by that, or click on "First Name"
heading to sort by that.

In a Create Mail window:
Click on To:
Click on the "Name" column heading... it cycles thru 4 different sorts

In the Contact Properties:
click on the down arrow at the end of the Full Name box
