I'm probably beating a dead horse here but... For the life of me I can't
figure out how anyone with a couple hundred contacts in their address book
can possibly use Windows Mail. Without contact folders like OE has this
program is useless to me. I've been mulling over this problem for a a couple
weeks since I got my new laptop with Vista and have decided that Windows Mail
is not going to fit my requirements. Windows Live Mail is not going to work
for me either. The workaround in Windows Live Mail where you can set up a
list and then selectively delete users after the list is in the address line
of the email is not a viable option for me. I could go into a long
explanayion about why but to what end. The only option for me is to have
contact folders back. This Sucks! And, from the messages I've read there are
a lot of unhappy campers out there about this problem
Now a couple questions.
I have Office 2007 Home/Student which includes licenses for three computers
installed on my three home systems. If I buy Outlook, does it come with only
one license? At $110 a pop I don't think I'll be using Outlook unless it
comes with three licenses like Office did.
Does Outlook support contact folders or multiple address books? Or, should I
just go with Thunderbird?
Are there any Outlook issues anyone knows of that would be a problen for a
home user. I've read somewhere that some of the html formating Outlook uses
is not compatible with some web based email servers like gmail, hotmail and
yahoo and some of my contacts are subscribers to those services. Does this
compatibility issue really exist?
