Contact file import

I imported my contacts from outlook on another computer and called it "KB
Contacts". Now there are two contact folders "Contacts" and the one I
imported. I tried to copy all the contacts from the imported folder to
"Contacts" and it appeared to work but every morning when I come to work it
seems to have reverted back to two seperate files. How can I have just one
contact file? tks.

Do you mean that another list of folders shows up in your folder tree or
that you've got two contact-type folders in your folder tree? Are all the
right contacts in your Contacts folder?

Tks Vince-in my folder tree under "My Contacts" there are two folders:
"Contacts" and "KB Contacts" the latter one being the one I imported or
somehow moved over this this computer. I selected all the contacts in the "KB
Contacts" folder and dragged/dropped them to "Contacts" and it appeared OK
but when I booted up again next day, it was bact the way it was. I am in an
office and files are maintained on a network...does that have something to do
with it? I guess there's really nothing wrong with having two folders, it
only takes one click to access either one, I'm just wondering how it got that
way and wether or not one SHOULD have two contacts folders.

Let's see if this works... in your full folder tree right click on the root
of the other set of folders and choose the Close option.

When I click Contacts in the left-hand pane, two folders show: "Contacts" and
"KB Contacts". When I right click "KB Contacts", there is no close option. Is
that what you meant or did you mean find the file in Windows Explorer?

Notice what Vince said: DON'T use the Calendar view, use the Folder List
view. Press Ctrl-6 or click the Folder List button at the bottom of the Nav
pane.
