Hello,
I used to have Outlook 2000 (in french) and i just installed Outlook
2003 (also in french).
I use the categories to sort my contacts and am now faced with a small
problem that is quite frustrating:
With 2000 I could enter in the categories field: "client; friend;
Smith, John"
This would create 3 categories : "client" "friend" and "Smith, John".
This is perfect since this is what we use to assign a contact to an
employee.
However, with 2003, if I enter the same exact information, Outlook will
create 4 categories instead of 3. It will read the comma as a list
separator no matter what character is indicated in the control panel
(regional settings/list separator).
Since this is the standard we have been using for quite a while now, I
wonder how we could solve the problem to prevent Outlook from reading a
comma as a list separator and then creating another category.
I have yet to test this on Outlook 2003, but will be doing so shortly.
If anyone has any information, I would be truly grateful.
thx!
