connects ok, but can't navigate internet

I have windows xp home with sp1 and have dial-up and high
speed wireless through LAN. I can connect with dial-up to
the net, but it will not navigate. Also will notnavigate
with the high speed LAN connection. I have no firewalls
installed and I have checked everything in the network
settings. It sends out packets, but will not reccieve
incoming. Any ideas?

Try this from a c:\ prompt

netsh int ip reset c:\restlog.txt

It sounds like your tcp\ip needs reset? Then check the
log u saved it to to ensure it reset.

The only other thing is maybe uninstall ie and re-
install.

I tried the reset but it still didn't help. Can I remove
IE and reinstall, or do I have to just reinstall over the
IE? Thanks for such a quick response...I really am stuck
here...thanks again.

I tried some stuff from reading other posts and finally
it turned out to be corrupted winsock2. Thanks so much
for all the help.
