Connection to aol server

I have followed the instructions to get outlook to work with aol, but when I
click my aol folder I get a message that outlook cannot connect to the server
and there is a problem with imap.aol.com.

I also tried to subscribe, but could not find Query on the tools or imap
pull down menu.

Thanks for any help. especially with connecting to the aol server.
 
Have you tried the AOL help files for this problem?

account will be deleted without reading.

Actually, I have. Their files are a repeat of the MS files. Their tech
support said that since I could log on to their server it was likely
something with outlook.

Naturally their tech support would say that. Chances are they lied to you
because plenty of people use Outlook with IMAP to AOL.
