Which OS version are these servers running? Which ServicePack?
Are they member servers in a domain? If so, which OS is running on
the Domain Controller?
Can you post the EventID and Source from the event in the system
event log?
When did this problem start? Has it ever worked correctly? If so,
what was changed on the server?
You write that both servers are identical. How did you make (and
keep!) them identical? By hand (same installation procedure on both
servers, which means almost certainly that they are not
identical!), or is the second server an image of the first server
(if so, did you make sure to change the second servers name, IP
address and SID?)?
