connection speed and status indicator

I just upgraded from Windows 98 which had an icon in the
lower right side of the bottom task bar that indicated
internet connection speed, duration time of the
connection, bytes sent, and bytes received. How do I
enable this feature in Windows XP? thanks........james

Go to
START
CTRL Panel
Network connections
Click on your internet connection
Click on Properties
Put a tick down in the bottom area for "display.... etc"
