Connecting XP PC remotely to a Vista PC

What is the simplest way to connect a XP PC in one home office to a Vista PC
in a different home office? Doesn't seem like Net Meeting is going to work.
Don't know if Windows Meeting Space will work. I am considering a Sharpoint
server hosting site. VPN is an option but having difficulties with set up due
to the two different dsl router firewalls. All I need is to allow my partner
(with the XP maching) to update my Access database from his home. The
database is maintained is my home on a Vista PC. Any ideas? Thanks, Fred.

Did you try the Vista Help system and look for VPN setup. Looks pretty rich
and there's a wizard available for VPN setup.

Lincoln actually got it right but was way ahead of his time when he said,
"You can have some of you computer working all of the time and all of your
computer working some of the time but..." It was he that said that, wasn't
it?
