Connecting Win2k laptop to a Workgroup

T

T W

In my attempt to connect to my home network, I changed the
network propertie under Win2k from Domain to Workgroup. I
can no longer log in to my laptop as it does recognize my
password used and tells me that "My user name or domain is
incorrect.

I thought I could go back to the last known good
configuration, but this did not work. Any ideas on how to
around the login screen od boot into the command prompt
and edit an appropriate file to get around this problem.

Thanks

When your are no longer a member of a domain you can only logon locally
(Unless you have domain administrator rights by which you can make your
computer a domain member again)

That option only works as long as you do not logon to the system. If you
do logon the 'last know good' is overwritten.
And as far as I know this option only works when you have installed some
buggy driver which crashes your system, and not for correcting domain
membership problems.
Any ideas on how to around the login screen od boot

Nope, you have to contact your system administrator so he/she can make
your computer a member of the domain again.
