connecting to the scanner from the asp.net c# app.

hi, im just a newbie.. im just wanna ask if there's a way to access a
scanner from the asp.net c# application?

im creating a Document Management system that has a feature to capture
document from the scanner and can be saved as a doc file.. Does anyone
know how this is done?

i saw something about TWAIN GUI but i don't understand how it works...

any help appreciated thanks..
