Connecting to the internet

I have a laptop running XP Pro SP2 with built in Wi-FI and a Desktop PC
running XP Pro SP2 using a usb netgear wireless adaptor.
My problem is if i set my wireless router with WPA-PSK security the laptop
will not connect but my desktop PC will.

Please help.

Does the Laptop's Wireless works with all security (Router and Laptop) Off?
Are you sure that the Laptop is WPA capable?
Did you try to look for the most recent Wireless Card Drivers on the
Laptop's support site?
Did you check to make sure that only one utility manages the Wireless on the
Laptop.

Laptop works with security off and with wep on, the wireless card is built
in so not sure it i can get a utility for it so i am using windows xp
connection function.
