Connecting to LAN at home and office

Is there some easy way to allow my wife to connect to the
office LAN then come home and connect to our home peer to
peer LAN without corrupting all the office LAN settings?
This must be an issue for many Win XP users.

If the office has a domain log on to the domain at the
office and then log on to this computer at home
 
I am having a similar problem. I am at school during the week and I come home for the weekends. I can always browse the Internet, but when I come home I can't browse the home network. I have noticed that this is a problem for many people. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
