Connecting to device in VS2005 beta

Hi,

I'm trying to connect to a WiNCE emulator image, i've installed the SDK.
In VS2005 Beta 2 ->Tools->Options->Device Tools-> when i hit
Devices i get an error that Visual Studio has encountered an error and needs
to close. I have my emulator and PB5.0 running. I couldn't connect also
when i hit Tools-> Connect to device it comes back saying device is not
ready. I have AS4.0 installed.

I take it one needs to configure an IP connection in the Tools->Options
menu before one can connect.

You should try it with RTM and not Beta 2 as there were some issues in
earlier VS builds. Generate the SDK like this (also follow the links for a
x86 CE 5.0 emulator):

Hi, I take it RTM is offical release, which i haven't bought yet so can't
try for
a bit. I was using a debug KITL SDK so obviously that won't work.
I noticed that in PB5.0 when i was building an SDK i didn't have the
Visual Studio.NET box available to tick only the eVC box. I thought
it must be because i don't have VS2003.NET installed. Should this
box be available with VS2005 (ie not grayed out).Does PB5.0
detect VS2005.
