connecting to a macinstosh workgroup with a pc laptop

I own a dell m70 laptop. Our office uses macintosh. So, our printers are
netowrked through a mac workgroup. We have windows file sharing on, but I
can't seem to see the printers or the newtowk on my machine

Samba will have to be running on the Macs, assuming they are OSX. If
they are running an older version of the Mac os, Google for something
like "Mac Windows networking Classic". Setting up Samba on OSX is
incredibly easy, so see your Systems Administrator. Make sure your
Windows machine has its firewall configured properly also.
