connecting pc to tv

I have hp pavilion desktop pc model 774.uk.

I use xpsp2 home. I'd like to know how I can the pc to home television.

Just like connecting anything else to your entertainment system (TV) - you
have to have the right outputs and inputs.

For example..
Does your video card on your computer have a TV-Out (S-Video) connection?
Does your TV have an S-Video connection?
Do it that way.

Does your video card on your computer have VGA and/or DVI connections? Does
your TV?
Do it that way.

Otherwise you need to get some connection coming out from your computer
(which you may or may not have physically in existence yet) tat will connect
to some input on your Television... And that usually doesn't carry sound
with it - but if you havppen to have RCA Out on your computer and RCA in on
your TV for left/right/video - then you have all you need in one.

Thank you Shenan for the reply.

I have s-video connections on both tv and pc ( agp video card ). Will this
carry sound? If not how can I connect the sound? I think I have on-board
sound. The distance between the tv and pc is 4 to 5metres.

The video card also has a yellow socket ( like RCA ) marked something like
comp ......... can't read it clearly. Thank you.
