Connecting from Home to my office

I'm trying to connect from home pc to my office pc using Remote Desktop
Connection.

Both home and office pc's connect to the internet through a router. Home is
a DLink, office is a Linksys.

If I type "ipconfig" at the command prompt I show the following ip adddress
for each machine

home=192.168.0.101
office=192.168.1.110

If I go to www.whatismyipaddress.com I show the following ip address for
each machine.

home=24.128.66.83
office=24.198.54.184

The Remote Access Auto Connection service is running on each machine.

Do I need to configure each router in order for the Remote Desktop
Connection to work?
If so, which ip address do I use?
Do I forward port 80 and 3389?
Do I forward these ports on both machiens?

Please advise.

You need to forward:
On Office router: 192.168.1.110 port 3389 TCP
On Home router: 192.168.0.101 port 3389 TCP

On Home PC connect to Office PC using 24.198.54.184
On Office PC connect to Home PC using: 24.128.66.83

Do you have static IPs with your BroadBand provider?
If not, use dynamic DNS names instead of public IPs.

You'll probably find your router or firewall is preventing you from
connecting. I had the same problem when working from home. I used
GoToMyPC for a while, but it's nowhere near as good as Remote Desktop.
If you use PMG Connect (www.pmgconnect.com) with remote Desktop you can
tunnel through your router/firewall. It works a treat.

I too have started using pmgconnect. Its awsome - quick, cheep and
realy good for long stints of remote working. Good recommendation dude.
