My computer froze a few weeks back. I sent it back to HP and they se
it back to factory settings. When i got it back, i went to get on t
the internet. I set up my connection, it dialed in, i received
connected message but when i typed in an address, i got a page canno
be displayed message. I've tried many websites, and nothing. I the
took my notebook to two wireless hot spots, i got a connected messag
both times but still received the same message. I called HP an
they're giving me the runaround. probably because my warranty i
expiring this week.
I was able to connect just fine before the freeze. I am relatively ne
to xp. I got it a year ago

Try these from a CMD prompt:

PING RED.COM

PING 72.32.210.6

If the first doesn't work, but the second does, click Start, Run, type:

netsh winsock reset

Press Enter key

Restart the system

You can also try this software download from a working machine:

LSP-Fix
