connecting a router

I have connected a broadband router,And i need to transfer files from my old
comp to my new comp but not sure how to transfer files. Both comps are
running xp home.I've tryed setting up network but to no avail.keepgetting
admin. error message. help please.

Turn off the firewalls and other security on both computers, until you
get the data transferred over. Run the Home Network Setup Wizard. Run
the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard. A good home networking tutorial
