connect to Windows2000Server

We have connect a Mac7600/OS9.1 with ethernet to a Windows2000Server. The
'Services for Macintosh' are started on the server.
With the Chooser > AppleShare, the server shows up, but when we open the
server we receive this message:

* **The User Authentication Method required by this server can't be
found. Please check the Apple Share folder in the Extensions folder an try
again.***

There is no Apple Share folder in the Extensions folder...
What can we 'check' again?
Are there special 'plugIns' needed?

Thanks for any help!

You may want to look at the Microsoft UAM for Macs. I'll refer you to this
page on Microsoft's website for detailed information about the UAM.

You can choose to use either the UAM for a more secure authentication
between Macs and the server or you can set your server to allow Apple clear
text passwords using the Computer Management module.

Hope this helps! bill
