connect PC to TV

I am planning to connect my PC to TV and have best resolution on my TV,
I tried s-video cable but the quality is not good, is there any better
way to get the best possible resolution from my PC to TV.

I am using winxp SP2.

TVs in general, (HDTV different), have too low a bandwidth for a computer display.
Forget the idea!

That depends entirely on the capabilities of your video card and the inputs
available on your TV..
