HI,

I am sorry i ve been asking too many questions. Fundamentally i am confused
with what s possible.

I currently have a system with XP Home OEM installed. I need to move all
the files and settings to another PC and upgrade to XP Prof. The other PC
hardware is very different.

Is it a good idea to copy all the files from old disk to new disk and then
install XP Prof FP in the new system? That would save me from installing
all the applications. But I am concerned with all the different drivers.

What is the best way to do this?

Thanks very much for any help.

Ramesh

Ramesh-

You're going to need to reload XP from scratch on the new machine. You can
then use the file & settings transfer wizard to move your files and
settings. You will have to reload applications. I'd do this (reload the
applications) before you run the file & settings x-fer wizard.
