conflict with MM2.1

I am having a conflict with MM2.1 and Pinnacle 8
Quickstart.

I bought a Dazzle 150 converter in order to convert my
analogue tapes to digital. It passes through this
hardware and then goes onto the hard drive. It comes with
Pinnacle 8 Quickstart software. It captured my analogue
not to badly, except for a few pops and hisses.

The problem is though, that when I tried to play one of
my OLDer or previous projects in MM2.1 to finish editing
it (composed of all still pictures) now it won't play the
clip if there is music in the timeline. If I remove the
music it will play the clip so I guess it must be a
conflict of programs.

How do I now go about capturing my vhs tapes if I have to
remove the conflicting Pinnacle software? I still need to
use MM2.1 to finish off prior projects.

Hi Diane,

The new Tools > Options > Compatibility tab in MM2.1 is supposed to help you
resolve that.

Uncheck the Pinnacle filters in the list. That should take them out of the
picture when using MM2.1 without disabling them for use by Pinnacle Studio

Thanks for responding so quickly.

I tried your suggestion and disabled all listing of
Pinnacle. Did no help. Then one by one I disabled the
other non Pinnacle things listed there. Did not help.

Anything else I can do?
