??? Confirm Stream Loss ????

Copying file files and folders to a CD-R for users
running Windows 95, 98, and XP and getting a message
titled "Confirm Stream Loss" when I copy the files from
the current directory and to paste them in the CD Drive
directory for burning...

Bos reads ""The file name.xxx has extra information
attached to it that might be lost if you continue
copying. The contents of the file will not be affected.
Do you want to copy the file anyway?" and I am get the
choice of YES - SKIP - CANCEL.

What IS this about and could it affect making program
files on CD available to customers with older OS's?
Thanks!
