When I opened microsoft outlook 2003 for the first time I get the following
message:

unable to open your default email folders.
Outlook could not start because a data file to send and recieve email could
not be found. To add a data file, such as personal folder double click on the
mail icon in the control panel.

I am not using outlook for my email. I go online for this.

I need to use outlook for my contact manager.

How can I set up outlook 2003. I need help ASAP!!!!!!!!!

Do you have any data files (PST / Personal Folders) defined in the Control
Panel's Mail applet? You needed one to use Outlook, even as a PIM. Might the
file have been moved, renamed, etc?

Search your drive (including hidden folders) for PST files. Check their size
& modification dates. Once you find the right one, as far as you can tell,
go into the Control Panel > Mail applet. Click the Data Files button and add
an entry for the PST file you just found.
