In Word 2003 on Win XP, when I turn on "Track Changes", and insert
text, it shows up underlined, in red. Fine. But when my cursor touches
that text, an annoying yellow text box appears showing me the time of
insertion, the author, and the inserted text.

Is there any way to suppress the appearance of this text box?

Thanks VERY much!

Someone who uses Word (and I don't) may come along with the answer.
However, you will maximize your chances of getting a quick and accurate
answer if you post in a newsgroup for MS Word. Here is a list of all
the MS newsgroups:

Gosh. I'm really sorry. I thought I had!

(My email handler abbreviates the newsgroup name to "m.p.w.general", and
I thought that "w" was Word.)

My apologies for the inadvertent spam.

It wasn't spam; no apologies necessary. Good luck.
