configuration question

I am new to outlook 2003. I am trying to configure the inbox as to not show
the lines for every e-mail. Is there a way to not show the lines? Also, I
created a new folder called spam and I would like the the folder to be
formatted the same as the inbox folder instead of grouping the e-mails based
on the date received. For example, there is currently 5 e-mails from today,
then 4 e-mails from yesterday, then some more from last week, two weeks ago,
etc. Is there a way to not have the folder use groups?

I think the lines are always there as part of the view. If you click the
"Arranged By" header you can turn off groups and change the sorting field
