Hello everybody,

I have tables of different formats, and they cover more lines than
displayed on the screen, resulting in the top line with the column
descriptions is not always visible. I froze the top line of the first
table (4 columns) but when I reach now the second table (7 columns)
the top line of the first one is still visible and the descriptions do
not match the column content.

Is there a possibility that would alow me to set conditions to freeze
panes regarding which information is in the top line, so that every
table has its matching top line?

Thanks for your answers!

Consider putting the second table into a second worksheet within the
workbook....

First, I would put the table on two separate worksheets. I think it makes it
easier to insert/delete rows or columns.

But maybe you could just make freezing the panes slightly easier by adding an
icon to your favorite toolbar.

Tools|customize|commands tab|window and help category
drag the freeze panes icon to a toolbar.

You can click on that icon to toggle freeze panes. You'll have to move to where
you want before you freeze panes, though.

Have you thought about putting one table in A:G and another in I:L?

Then you could see the headers all the time (filtering might turn ugly, though).
