I have all my student grades in a range of cells.

I have a column with their predicted grade in and a colum with their real
grade in. I need to be able to set excel up to the following;

1. Check if the actual grade is below "C" grade, and check if the actual
grade is two grades lower than the predicted. e.g predicted A* actual grade
C. If either of these are true I need the acual grade cell to be turned red.

2. If the student has more than 2 red cells in their row, I want their name
to turn red.

These sound to very simple things to do but you can't get ecxel to
conditional format on the basis of a cell colour and you can't have a
constant, check variable and then a changing cell all in one conditional
format.

If anybody has any ideas please let me know ASAP.

Thanks

Tom

hi tom5, how many columns, containing expected and earned grades, are you
dealing with?
